GIGO is an acronym for Garbage In. Garbage Out. It was used in the early days of computers to show that no matter how good the computer, the data that comes out is only as good as that the data that goes in.
GIGO comes to mind every time I hear the government report the predictions from “modelling.”
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) admits that the tests for Covid-19 are faulty. Yet the government inputs the data from these faulty tests to predict what may happen with the virus.
There have never been accurate predictions from modelling. Yet governments continue to use these predictions to justify lockdowns and other restrictive measures.
Garbage In, Garbage Out.
