They Said . . .

Who are They?  They are the medical experts who give guidance to our leaders to make Canada a safer place.

Over a month ago, some countries in Europe stopped using the AstraZeneca vaccine because of blood clots.  What did Canadian medical experts say?  “Don’t worry,” they said.
“Continue to take this vaccine,” they said.
“Blood clotting is rare,” they said,
“This vaccine is safe,” they said.
“Your chances of experiencing blood clots are so rare,” they said.
“It is not worth worrying about,” they said.
“The European countries are overreacting,” they said.
“No need to worry,” they said.
“This vaccine is safe,” they said.

The other day, the Government of Ontario announced that it stopped using the AstraZeneca vaccine because of rare blood clots.  What?  This must be a mistake.  The medical experts said many times that the AstraZeneca vaccine was safe.  They said that all the vaccines were safe.  Are they ever wrong?

Any day now, the Government of Ontario will announce that it was all a misunderstanding, and they will resume using the AstraZeneca vaccine.
