Words that Heal

In his book Expressive Writing, James Pennebaker describes a study in which volunteers who wrote expressively about their traumatic experiences were also found to have improved immune function.  After just four 20-minute writing sessions, they had greater T-cell activity, as well as elevations in other immune markers in their blood.
