I changed the batteries in a digital desk clock, and could not figure out how to change the clock to the 24hour format. There were no markings on the clock, so I could not check YouTube for instructions.
I become obsessed with things when they do not go the way I want them to. I could not get on with my life until my desk clock was in the 24hour format.
On Saturday night, I spent over an hour farting around with the clock. I went to bed frustrated. Sunday afternoon, I resumed my struggle. After a half-hour, I heard a voice in my head say, “Why don’t you ask me?”
“Okay,” I said aloud, “how do I set the clock to the 24hour format?”
“Press the Up and Down buttons at the same time. Doing so will change the clock to the 24hour format.”
I pressed the Up and Down buttons at the same time. Wow! The clock was in the 24hour format.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
“You’re welcome.”
Later Sunday afternoon, I tried to understand Dante’s The Divine Comedy. I had borrowed this book from the library. Critics praised it as the best modern English translation. Were the critics bribed? I could not understand what was going on. Also, there were no footnotes.
Out of nowhere I heard, “Go to BMV Books, at 471 Bloor Street, and you will find a translation
you will understand.”
(BMV Books sells used books, magazines, and videos. The prices are reasonable, and the books are in good condition.)
Off I went to BMV Books. Wow! I found a three-volume set, published by Penguin, for $21.00. It was easy to understand and had plenty of footnotes. The prices on the three volumes showed that this set new cost $46.00.
I always benefit from listening to my Inner Guidance or gut feeling or voice in my head.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
“You’re welcome.”
