Identifiable Harm to Military Defense, Intelligence Operations, etc. After 60 Years?

Friday November 22, 1963

Here is a quote from President Joe Biden’s October, 2022 memo once again blocking the release of the remaining JFK assassination documents:

“Temporary continued postponement is necessary to protect against identifiable harm to the military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement, or the conduct of foreign relations that is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure,” he wrote, referencing a portion of the JFK records act that allows continued postponement for those reasons, as long as there is “clear and convincing evidence” for the delay.

(In other words, the damage releasing the documents would cause outweighs the public’s right to know.)

All of the JFK assassination documents were supposed to be released in October, 2017.  President Donald Trump released some, but kept the rest hidden because of “National Security.”

The official conclusion about the assassination is that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.  There was no conspiracy.  Almost 60 years after Oswald killed the president, what information about Oswald’s actions would affect “National Security”?  What information about a lone gunman’s act would now harm “military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement or the conduct of foreign relations”?  Oswald acted alone.  There was no conspiracy.  Case closed.  Why keep information hidden?

Oliver Stone made a documentary about the released documents:  JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass

The CIA told the Warren Commission that they had no contact with Oswald.  Yet, the released documents show they had contact with Oswald for FOUR YEARS before the assassination.

The FBI told the Warren Commission that Jack Ruby had NO Mafia connections.  We did not need the JFK documents to know that Jack Ruby was well-connected to organized crime.

The CIA and the FBI lied to the Warren Commission.  Isn’t it interesting that the CIA and the FBI are pushing to keep the JFK assassination documents hidden forever and ever?  Amen.

By the way, the Secret Service admitted that it destroyed some of its JFK assassination documents.  The Secret Service did this after learning that their assassination documents would be collected and kept at the National Archives.  Congress passed the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 mandating that all JFK assassination documents be collected from every government agency.

Anyone of ordinary care and judgment examining all the evidence would conclude that there was a conspiracy to kill JFK, and that the U.S. government is still covering up this conspiracy.

Not Igor Ego.  He holds fast to the official version that Oswald acted alone.  Igor Ego’s proof that Oswald acted alone?
“The conspiracy is bullshit!” he says.
“Where are your facts to prove this?” I ask.
“I don’t need facts.  I have common sense,” he replies.

I have blogged about Igor Ego before.  He knows everything.  He gets great pleasure from ridiculing people who do not believe his factless opinions based only on his so-called “common sense” and other factless opinions.

The JFK assassination documents threaten his belief in the lone-gunman theory.  He has to discredit any fact that I present pointing to a conspiracy.  The world would end if Igor Ego ever admitted that he was wrong.  He dismisses the documents as “bullshit.”

“They don’t exist,” he says.  “Oliver Stone made them up to make money from a stupid documentary to convince gullible people like you that there was a conspiracy.  It’s all bullshit!”
“So what you are saying,” I ask, “is that Congress passed the John F. Kennedy Records Collection Act in 1992 to collect documents that Oliver Stone made up, and keep them at the National Archives?”
“No, I’m not saying that.  You’re putting words in my mouth.”
“Then what are you saying?”
“I’m saying that Oliver Stone is full of shit and he made up the documents.”
“Where is your proof that Oliver Stone made up the JFK documents?”
“Look, I don’t want to talk about this.  It’s all bullshit!”

That is Igor Ego’s escape line:  “I don’t want to talk about it.  It’s all bullshit!”  He has another escape line:  It’s all bullshit!  I don’t want to talk about it.”

Such superlative reasoning!  I am in awe!

Will the U.S. government ever release the rest of the made-up JFK documents?  Methinks Igor Ego will become a rational-thinking person first before that ever happens.
