There is no such thing as a free lunch—unless you work for the government.


The pen is mightier than the sword?  No thanks.  I’ll take my chances with a gun.


There is no place like home if you can afford one.


People who live in glass houses spend a lot of time washing windows.


Practice makes perfect—unless you are human.  If so, then practice makes practice.


The early bird gets the worm, and the worm gets a tour of the early bird’s guts.


The grass is always greener on TV and in movies.


The enemy of my enemy is my friend as long as we don’t get married.


All good things come to another beginning.  All bad things can’t come to an end soon enough.
